ADECOM Network

ADECOM Network is a Social Volunteer Organization which strives for Women and Children empowerment since 25 years. Its acronym is Animate, Development, Employment and Communication. ADECOM Network strongly emphasizes the “Global UNiTE Women” that for efforts to end violence against women and girls towards Eradication of Violence against Women at different agenda every year.

Maitri Network is a National network for women to decrease violence against women. Maitri Network is given opportunity to ADECOM Network to conduct the 16days campaign at South India level from 2007.  As a consequence of campaign at South India Maitri Network assured to its support to ADECOM Network through home visit, community awareness, gender sensitization workshop and support to key personals of PWDVA 2005.

As per the support of Maitri Network, ADECOM Network supported to partners in various districts such as Thanjavur, Karaikal, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Pondicherry, Thiruvannamalai and Cuddalore districts. This combined report presented the activity report of those district activities through followed partners.

1. Rural Youth Education Trust (RYET)is working for rural women and children education empowerment at Villupuram district. They are working for Domestic violence at grass root level. Ms. Rupadevi advocate is the Managing trustee of this Trust.

2. Village Community Development Society (VCDS) working for village people development. They are giving awareness on violence against women at grass root level. Also they conduct tailoring courses for rural women at Villupuram Ms. Kowsalya is the Responsible person for this organization.

3. People’s Association for Reconstruction Art and Intellectualism (PARAI) Trust working for women and children empowerment at Thiruvannamalai They are experts to conduct the street theatre performance on violence against women. Mr. Murugan is the managing trustee of PARAI Trust.

4. Women Education Social Trust (WEST) working for empowerment women education. They are giving awareness on violence against women and girl child education at grass root levelat Karaikal Ms. Padmini is the managing trustee of WEST.

5. Women Education Development Social Service (WEDSS) Trust is working for girl child education and violence against women at rural areas in Thanjavur Ms. Rajakumari is the managing trustee of this WEDSS organization.

6. Social Voice Education Development (SVED) is working for women and children empowerment at Cuddalore They giving grass root level awareness and street theater performance on violence against women. Ms. Arokiyamari is the managing trustee of SVED.

7. Dalit Women’s Development Society (DWDS) is working for Dalit women empowerment at rural areas of Kanjipuram They are giving awareness on domestic violence for women and men at their working region. Ms. Komala is the managing trustee of DWDS.

8. Kootukkural Theatre Movement (KKK) is working for Dalit women and children empowerment at Pondicherry and Villupuramdisticts. They are experts to conduct the street theatre performance at grass root areas of Pondicherry and Villupuramdistrict. Mr. S. Perumal is the president of KKK.
