Today 08.03.2022, International women’s day was celebrated in ADECOM office with UN given theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, which aims to recognize women who are working to build a more sustainable future. International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on March 8. It should be noted that this is the day when women’s rights were won by an oppressive society. Women’s Day is also celebrated to emphasize equality and rights for women. On such a special day, everyone was delighted to remember Savitribai Phule, India’s first female teacher, and Annai Meenambal, who fought for women’s liberation and the liberation of the people on the list with her lifelong ideal of victory.
In Pondicherry, Cuddalore, and Villupuram district 50 women were selected and honored by giving them compliments and gifts to break the oppression in the family, economically and mentally, and act as role models in the village with confidence in this patriarchal society. All the leaders who attended today’s event shared their experiences and the path they have traversed. Finally, they pledged to break the gender bias.
