ADECOM Network

The one-day workshop was organized with the support of Maitri Network at Kondur, Villupuram district on 11.03.2022.
The purpose of the workshop is,
• Promoting gender equality to prevent violence against women
• Victim identification, care, and support (whom they are reaching, and how to reach the many victims who do not seek help)
• Community interventions can empower women and engage with men
• Media interventions can alter gender norms and promote women’s rights
Ms.Vimala, OSC, Ms. Lalidamballe Managing Trustee ADECOM Network were joined given special address to the people. The Workshop was conducted exclusively for Community based organizations in the Villupuram district such as, Anganwadi Teachers, Women group leaders, NGOs, Panchayat leaders, lawyers, and Social activists. Ms. Narmadha, project fellow Villupuram district was explained how to find the victim, find a solution, and work with community group members and etc., to community group members.
There are 62 (Women group leaders – 20 Anganwadi Teachers – 15, Panchayat members – 10, Advocate – 3, Social activist – 8, Volunteer – 6 ) people participated from the above-mentioned category. All the participants were given their full cooperation and actively participated till the workshop ends.
The training also included the International Women’s day celebration.
