ADECOM Network

The Stakeholders consultation meeting was held on #05.07.2022 at BAWDA Trust hall, Villupuram district. Mr. Venkadesh, Superintendent of Police, Ms. Kavitha, Inspector, AWPS, Ms. Lalidamballe Managing Trustee and joined. There are 42 people participated in this consultation. Of these, 25 women and 17 men. They discussed how to reduce and prevent sexual violence in the Villupuram district. All the participants their shared the opinions and idea’s to reduce the VAW. Behalf of the #Maitri and #ADECOM Network our Managing trustee has given requisition to the Superintendent of Police, that is, at the district level, a committee should be formed to reduce violence against women and children under the Superintendent of Police control and include social welfare, police, law, voluntary organizations and who have been working for women and child welfare. She requested to hold discussions with the committee every month. Through this, we can able to reduce the VAW in Villupuram district.
