An awareness program on prevention, reduction, and solutions to violence against women and children was organized by our Para legal volunteer Mr. Satish in collaboration with Keerapalayam Village Panchayat. It was held on 28.07.2022 at Keerapalayam Government High School. The headmaster of the school Mr. Ramesh gave a speech to hold this awareness program. Mr. Raja Viswanathan and Panchayat Council Leaders delivered a special speech. Chidambaram All Women Police Station sub-Inspector Ms. Ponmagaram explained the POSCO Act which will change the protection of children. Project fellow has explained, how to keep children safe, whom to approach if they are victims of violence, the child line toll-free number 1098, and CWC activities. Our CBO Ms. Arokiya Mary has joined and given the motivational speech to the students. The meeting was attended by 8th, 9th and 10th class students both male and female.
