Gender Equality Training – Men & Boys

#On 15.08.2022, Karaikal district ADECOM NETWORK organized the masculinity training at Poovam village to 33 men & boys. The training was given on the topic of son preference & Work Distribution on Gender. The women and men are brought up in our families with discrimination. What is the reason and why do the parents think that they want a boy? An understanding was also created as to why parents give importance to boys. The extent to which they are being left behind and missing out on opportunities is also explained. Later, training was held on gender-based work sharing. In training, it was demonstrated that boys get quality education, higher studies, and good jobs, but girls are denied all these opportunities because of their gender. At end of the session, 2 member’s shared their feedback on the session.
