Capacity Building Training for CBO’s against VAW

Sep 16. Puducherry. On behalf of Department of Women and Child Development ,Integrated Child Welfare Program Office Villianur, Maitri National Federation of Women, ADECOM Network and Pen oli Kudam, organized CBO’s Capacity Building training on Violence Against Women at Villianur Puducherry.
In this training, women and girl children in the society were given awareness and instructions on taking measures against ongoing sexual harassment and to protect themselves from sexual harassment. Also, how to provide social counseling to victims of violence, Department of Women and Child Development, Free Legal Advice Center were also explained. Barmavathi, family welfare advisor, ADECOM Network, and MS.Lallithambal, managing trustee, delivered the welcome speech. Also, Deputy Assistant Inspector of Villianur All Women Police Station Ms.Braneshwari, Head of Child Welfare Committee, Mr.Sivasamy, Security Officer Mr. Soundararajan, Advocate Mr.Ilanjezhiyan, ADECOM Network Project Manager Jayashree provided various training in the skill development training workshop. District Coordinator Ms.Sudha delivered the vote of thanks. Also the leaders of Women’s Rational Parliamentary Movement Ms.Seethalakshmi, Ms.Bharti, Ms.Jyoti and Ms.Kalpana had made the arrangements for the program well. 50 persons like Anganwadi teachers, community group members, voluntary organizations and lawyers participated in this training.
