On 19th September 2022, ADECOM Network and CRC organize CBO’s discussion on Violence against women & village issue in Koondur , villupuram district. Ms. Kayalvizhi, President of the Women’s Group, addressed the discussion. Ms. Sudha addressed the community group members about the needs of the village and then asked the community group members about what needs are there in your village. The members said then Mr. Sudha asked where the Anganwadi center is now. There is an Anganwadi center in Alamaratu Kuppam. They said that children from our village go to that Anganwadi center to study. The villagers said that there is no basic facility in our village. She informed you should pass resolution during gramasabha meeting and get the facilities from government. She explains the schemes for women in government and importance of registration of group in Nehru yuva Kendra to get schemes from government.

Then she told about the teaching of sewing training at Children’s Creativity Office and those who join the group should pay 200 as advance payment. Then you form a group and through the groups in your village we can do our best to help you work independently and self-employed from home to work as a team. Then he said that the children of single mother and single father can get help from the government. Then he said that through the Adi Dravidar Welfare Association office, sewing machines can be provided by the government to those who have completed sewing training.

Then Mr. Elumalai Panchayat Panchayat President assured Mr. Sudha that we will be all cooperative to you and then through you we are meeting all the needs of our village through Panchayat.
