On 30.09.2022, A multi-department stakeholders consultation was held at the conference hall of district legal services authority, Karaikal in coordinating with DLSA.Hon’ble. district judge K. Alli, Hon’ble. Principal District Law JudgeJudge P. Roselin,Hon’ble. Judicial Municif II Karaikal G. Lisi has joined and given the special address among the participants. Managing Trustee Ms. P. Lalidamballe has explained the purpose of the meeting and also led the constitution. In this consultation they mainly focused on how they should reduce THE JUVENILE JUSTICE( CARE and PROTECTION CHILDREN) ACT 2015. In that, Sexual violence mostly affects adolescent girls between the ages of 16 and 18. And since the criminals are between 16 and 18 years of age, they are involved in these crimes.so, they discussed why they were involved in this crime, reason behind the crime etc., To reduce this kind of offence they should concentrate to reduce and give immediate solution to the victim of DV, Sexual abuse women. Because, most of the offenders belong to these families. Because, they didn’t get support, care and love from their families. So, they involve this kind of crime. So, we should join together and create awareness among the people in school, college and village level. There are 40 members participating in this consultation including the advocate, department of women and children development, Children welfare committee, child line and local NGO.
