ADECOM Network

ADECOM Network is a Voluntary Organization (VO’s) that works to empower women and child development in India. Based in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, we have been successfully organising and agitating for women’s rights in their region for over 25 years. Our goal is to bring universally accepted human rights to women and children at the grassroots level.

ADECom (Animation, Development, Employment and Communication) Network was founded in June 1991 by women activists in Puducherry, and officially registered under the Trust Act since 1992. It is expansion of women’s access to justice through improving psychological well-being among women and girls, and combating gender-based violence.

Emancipation of oppressed society from the exploitation, discrimination and violence that prevents their full participation in society

Mission

Creating the conditions that will enable oppressed women to enjoy complete economic and social equality.

Objectives:

• Animate: create self-awareness and self-confidence among oppressed women
• Develop: the promotion of woman’s political, economic and civic rights.
• Employ: enable access to secure, well-paid jobs and create enter-prise opportunities
• Communicate: work in partnership with communities, civilsociety and government to keep women’s rights at the top of the agenda
