On 29th October 2022, ADECOM Network & AMWVTC organized discussion by CBO’s regarding Violence Against women in Thiyagu Nagar Community Welfare Center , Cuddalore . Mrs.Arulvizhi Annal Ambedkar, Member of the Women’s Discrimination Parliamentary Movement, Udanampakkam, welcomed everyone.

Maheshwari in her speech explained the purpose of the project .Divided the community group members into two groups and asked them to discuss and write in groups what is the workload for women and men. The people in the group discussed it and explained the work for women and the job for men through a chart presentation. After Mrs. Tamilselvi finished by explaining the two groups, the community group members were asked what the difference between the two groups. Without equality between men and women, there are very few jobs for men and women are only doing housework. How should we change it? It was said that we should start from where to change the society. In Grama sabha meeting identify the needs of the village and go as a group and pass resolution. Talk to children in a friendly manner. spend time for them and speak from your heart Because if they get hurt, they will tell you without any fear if you don’t see them properly, there is no point in suffering after the hurt, so bring up the children safely and let them study their favorite subject to reveal their unique talents.

In her speech, Mrs. Sumathi said that if there is violence against women and children in the village, the members of the community group will identify them and advise them and provide solutions to the victimized woman with the help of the Integrated Service Center. Mr. Silambarasan District Principal Instructor, Cuddalore introduced them and told about the work they are doing for the society. To create social change, individual should first engage in social work. Youths should work together to change the society. They said that they consider it good that they have been doing social work for people for more than 16 years since the beginning of the year. They said that even if I am in the government, I am very interested in social work. In your village, if you need help to study for poor children, let me know. They said that we will help them. Then I got corona infection and I fixed it and I worked with passion to serve people. I am doing similar work in 88 panchayats in Cuddalore and I have given free martial arts training to youths in which 18 are male and 14 are female.

Mr. Kalidas Child Line team members in their speech mentioned four rights of children Basic education should be given importance to every child Parents should bring up children safely They talked about mental and physical damage to children verbally about Nirbhaya life in front of community group members and asked their opinions based on caste. In the discussion totally 38 persons were participated.
