On 30.10.2022, Our Fellow have conducted the perspective building masculinity training workshop at Naththapattu village. The fellow took the session on abusive words against the women and Violence against the women. Before starting the session the group members were recollected the previous session by the fellow. In the session of abusive words against women, the participants are divided into two groups. One group member is asked to write the words against women and another group asks to write to the men. They were given 30 minutes to discuss and write the task. After that, 2 representatives from each group presented what they had written. Then, fellow explained how it’s affecting the women mentally and physically. Because, most of the abusive words are emotionally connected with women. But, when it’s coming to men it’s more funny to the participants. They were written just as normal. At the end of the session participants realized how the family and society describes the women by words.

Another session is violence against women. In this session fellow wrote the VIOLENCE in a chart paper in front of participants. She asked what do you think when you say violence. The participants said, violence means beatings, bloodshed and domestic violence. What they say is written on the chart. After that, fellow explained that, Violence can be divided into 4 categories. 1. Pysical violence 2. Economical violence 3. Sexual violence 4. Psychological violence . They divided the violence written on the chart into what violence it comes under.Then, fellow concluded the session with explanation of WHO description of VAW. There are 17 group members participated.
