On 30.10.22 , our Fellow organized Masculinity Training for Men & Boys in Bhoovam Village, Karaikal District. A training session was given on the topic of scheduling of work load time allocation and the participants were divided into two groups and some questions were asked before them what do men work from morning till night and what do women work. The coordinator told how much work the women do from morning till they sleep at night and how much income they will get if they go outside and do this work. It was said how much difficulty the women face in doing this work. It was difficult for me to talk to them because the youth in this area do not have proper education and understand them to some extent. They understood and then the eating procedure was finally given training on eating and low availability of food from morning till night. When asked what food the men eat, the youth said that they eat three meals, then the coordinator said that not only food, but also what food they take during work breaks, what food they eat in the evening, what food they eat in a day. They said we will eat Tea, Biscuit, Pani Puri, Mushroom Rice,Chicken Rice, Chicken 65.They said we will eat something. Then they were asked what kind of food the women eat and what time they eat. They said that they will eat at 10 o’clock in the day and at 10 o’clock in the evening. The coordinator explained about the problems women face due to eating late. Women are tired. If they are pregnant women who will get ulcers, they will give birth to underweight babies. At least at work, they should sit together and eat meals, then they should give importance to women and give them equal food. The youths said that they are trying.
