# 16 days Campaign- DAY – 6, On 30.11.2022, Our CBO Annai Meenambal Village Women development center organized the awareness meeting at Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Thookkanampakkam, Cuddalore district with the support of Maitri and ADECOM. Ms. Sudha explained the objective of the campaign and activities of Maitri & ADECOM Ms. Lalidamballe has explained how children should protect themselves from abuses, Child marriage and POCSO act.

Sub Inspector Mr. Ramesh said that children should act bravely without any fear. No need to be afraid of anything. If there is any help, you can contact us immediately or call 100 or 1098. If anyone is following you continuously, please inform us immediately.Children need to understand what safe touch is and what unsafe touch is when interacting with others and only then can we prevent harmful situations.

OSC, Counselor – We are rehabilitating the affected children and women and providing them with the necessary assistance and women’s protection number 18 1 and the welfare programs that are working in the social welfare department.

Mr. Anandaraj, childline team member explained that the government has introduced a 1098 number for child protection so if you have any problem you can reach this number they will meet you personally and ask your queries.There are 120 girl child, 150 boy child participated and benefitted.

At the end of the meeting 2 girl children came and shared that they don’t have a peaceful situation in her home to study. because of domestic violence happens for her mother.
