The WEDSS, Thanjavur, MAITRI and ADECOM Network jointly organized an awareness meeting on the prevention of sexual violence against women at Kandiyur village on 26.02.2023. There were 40 women, participated and benefited from the program, which also provided awareness on emergency helpline numbers for children 1098 and women 181. Victimized women motivated to complain against the perpetrator in the police station. They were motivated to inform if violence against women is in their next door, relative, in their villages/ district, or within their families. They will be supported by our fellow citizens to get speedy justice.
