Awareness meeting for Women on sexual violence

on 08.06.2023, ADECOM Network, Maitri Network, Kootukural, Bharat Mada Deaddiction center and Mangalam pet Angawandi organized awareness meeting for women on sexual violence in Mangalam Anganwadi Puducherry.

The meeting welcomed speech by Aganwadi Teacher Mrs. Kowari. And Mr.Kuppusamy , Co Ordinator for Bharat mada Deaddiction center on his speech, how women are affected by the drugs addicted people. and they are doing work such as collecting statistics in schools, colleges, Anganwadi centers and villages. Alcoholism is a disease that can be cured. Realizing women heads of households and your family be it husband or co-born friends or relatives can approach the center for treatment of alcoholics. Don’t just think that you can gradually get rid of this alcoholism by self-discipline Mental Counseling and Treatment Bad consequences if not provided with first aid treatment Loss of job ,Family problems, Suicide, Untimely death.

Mrs. Barmavathy Family Counselor, ADECOM Network said her opinion today Men’s Due to alcoholism and drug addiction, various problems for women, unsafe environment, rape, sexual violence, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, etc. are on the rise. For the last 25 years, ADECOM works to protect women & children’s from domestic violence and sexual violence and all the help is provided free of cost to the women who are affected by it. Domestic violence is classified as physical violence, verbal abuse, economic violence And also she said that it is the duty of every parent to bring up children with gender equality without discrimination of girls and boys . Sexual abuse happens to them by people we know. Spend your time with children and listen to them. It is our attitude that they share what is happening to us.
