ADECOM Women Dignity Centre Tindivanam conducted a Balika Panchayat meeting was held on 31.10.2023. The Program Felicitated by ADECOM Women’s Dignity Center Tindivanam Facilitator Mr.Lakshmipathi and Coordinated by Psychological Counselor Mr.Ettiyappan. Para legal volunteer Ms.Vijayalakshmi .

They have discussed about to the children :
What is the name of your village panchayat president?
What are the safest places in your village?
What are the unsafe places?
It was discussed that Children were told how to become a member of the library and how to fill the membership form. Students were also told how to make bank payments. Children are taught about safety through play. Awareness was given about children’s rights including the right to:

protection , Right to development, Right to Life , Right to participate.

Awareness was given to the children with examples. The Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer who was elected in the Balika Panchayat Election held last month introduced them. They were told that certificates will be given to them, after taking an oath of office in the presence of the panchayat council president at the Balika Panchayat meeting next month. Child marriage Problems caused by child marriage. Education affected by child marriage was discussed. Women and girl children were discussed.It was mentioned about the amount of assistance available through the government for the children without parents, the dependent children and the educational assistance. In this meeting 17 Girls participated, the program coordinated by Volunteer Ms.Ranjini.

At the end of the meeting a silent tribute was paid to Mrs. Lalidamballe Madam, Executive Trustee of ADECOM Network.
