Memorial Tribute To P.Lalidambale ADECOM Trustee

Ms. P. Lalidamballe who fought for women and Dalit people from many positions such as Executive Trustee of ADECOM Network, Coordinating Committee Member of Maitri National Women’s Federation, Buddhist Association-Thailand Executive Committee Member, Founder of Ambedkar Women’s Rational Movement. Lalithambal died of a heart attack on 19th October. In memory of her, remembrance was held at APJ Abdul Kalam Exhibition Hall, JIPMER, Puducherry on 19th November. Mrs. P. Lalidamballle-54 was held. The event was inaugurated with a drum performance by the Kootu Kural Nadaga Iyakkam followed by floral tributes. After that a poetry reading on Mrs. P. Lalidamballle was read by Ms. Paranjothi- Chengalpattu, Mr. Cheri Kural Setu- Tiruvannamalai, Mrs. P. Nandini- Puducherry . The event was attended by Partners of ADECOM Network, Government officials and ADECOM NETWORK employees, friends and families from Villupuram, Thanjavur, Kallakurichi, Chengalpattu, Karaikal, Cuddalore and Tiruvannamalai districts. In memory of Mrs. Lalidamballe, Three books were published named as Ambedkar’s Buddhism written by Lalidamballe, Lalithampal-54, Remembering Lalidamballe. Honorable former Chief Minister Mr. Narayanasamy to release, Hon’ble former Minister Mr. Kandaswamy received it. All the participants who participated in it promised to support their memories and to bring Mrs. P. Lalidamballle’s principles and thoughts to the people in the future. Various views were expressed by the participants during the event. Member of Parliament Ex., Mr. Murthy said that from next year we will celebrate Lalidamballe’s death day as a Buddhist day. Ex employee of ADECOM Network Mr. Idhaya Mani promised to start a foundation in the name of Mrs. P. Lalidamballe from next year. The event was held from 10 am to 5 pm on one day. Many participants graced the event. Mr. Perumal Legal Advisor of ADECOM Network hosted the program.
