Dec 1, Day- 1 Session started with remembrance and tribute of Ms. Lalidamballe . A poetry Reading by Ms. Paranjothi Caritas India, Chengalpattu and a song for Mrs. LALIDAMBALLE Sung by Mr. Settu Cheri Kural – Thiruvannalmalai. Amoghamati Karuna Trust, Smriti Minocha Maitri Network were a part of this remembrance session. The program started with the introduction and context setting by Ms. Smriti Minocha, MAITRI Network Coordinator. Following her Mr. Chaitanya Purandare Hon. Member State Child Rights Protection Commission Maharashtra, resource person Dr. Lata P Madhukar Researcher, Bahujan Feminist Theoretician, Ms. Manjula Pradeep Wise Act of Youth Visioning and Engagement (WAYVE) Foundation & Mr. S. Perumal Advocate Notary ADECOM Network delivered an introductory speech.
In The Topic on Role of criminal justice system in responding to sexual violence Asst professor Dr. Sangeetha Maternity and Women Welfare Department, Chengalpattu Medical College, Ms. Dr. Indira K Asst. Prof, Govt Law College, Chengalpattu, Ms. Manjula Pradeep, WAYVE Foundation gave a clear context on Medical Aid- Implementation of Guidelines For Medico-Legal Care For Survivors Of Sexual Violence, Legal Aid- Role of legal aid services and judiciary in delivering speedy justice and Addressing the gaps at community level- community support and sensitive police response.
In The Topic on Rehabilitation: Survivor Centric Approaches Evlyn Samuel & Afreen Ashraf, Jan Sahas, Deepali Vandana URJA Trust, A. Elizabeth Rani, M.Sc (psy) M.A,M.Ed, M.PhilCenter Administrator, One Stop Centre, Tiruvannamalai. Sheyashi Sharmistha Mohanty OSC Incharge, Bhubaneshwar, Sunita Ahir, Women Helpline , Government of Chhattisgarh explained the schemes and funds allocated which is published by govt for survivors.
