VCDS, ADECOM, Maithiri National Federation of Women, Emmaus and District Social Welfare Department organized a 16-day of campaign on Journey to Justice followed workshop on violence against women titled JOURNEY FOR JUSTICE RECOVERING OUR VOICES held on 19.12.2023 at VCDS Karasanur Centre, from 10 am to 4 pm. This seminar was organized by Navajothi Women’s Organiser Ms.Kowsalya Martin. The commentators were Tindivanam Constituency Former Member of Legislative Assembly and Senior Advocate Mr.R.Sethunathan, Secretary of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry School Education Protection secretary Mr.J. Krishnamurthy, Vanur Block Child Development Project Officer Ms. Jegatheeswari, Tindivanam Mercy Forum Founder Bulavar.Man.Ku.Ezhumalai, Pondicherry Mother Foundation Addiction Rehabilitation Center Coordinator Mr.Kuppusamy, ADECOM Network Maithiri Project Villupuram District Coordinator Ms. Aarthi Epciba, ADECOM Network Advocate Mr. Prakash and French volunteers Sarah and Mathilde attended and gave their comments. A total of 210 women’s and children from 15 villages including 20 female students and 20 students are participated in the meeting. Also Emmaus Asia Secretary, Assistant Inspector of Police and Head Constable of Vanur Police Station participated in this one day workshop.
