ADECOM Network

On 04.03.2024 A  meeting was held for SHG members at poyyapakkam village and 15 members participated in this meeting. The program was organized by volunteers Ms. N. Kavita and Mr. R. Karthikeyan. Moreover, the coordinator of the Women’s Resource Centre, Ms. S. Aathi Epciba, and the team leader of Vazhndhu kattuvom Scheme, Ms. N. Kalaiyarasi, and the Field Coordinator of the Women’s Resource Centre, Mr. S. Murugan were also participated.

Mr. S. Murugan welcomed all the members and introduced everyone. Members were also asked about their two favorite traits. In this exercise, the members talked about their expectations.

Following this, ADECOM Women’s Resource Centre Coordinator MS. Aarthi Epciba explained about ADECOM Network activities and the training necessary for the economic development of the members regarding the protection of girl children.

Let’s live and show project local team leader Ms. N. Kalaiyarasi questioned why we women are sad when a girl child is born and we are happy when a boy child is born. Whether it is a girl child or a boy child, it is a woman who gives birth to a child, a boy child and a girl child should be considered equal without distinction.

Although it is a girl who gives birth to a child but we want a boy child it is our duty to raise the girl child mentally, physically and strong. The members gave an opinion among themselves that we should treat both sexes as equals without distinguishing between men and women.
