ADECOM Network

On 08.03.2024, The women’s day celebration jointly organized by ADECOM Network Villupuram Women’s Resource Centre and Tamil Nadu Open University and Community College Villupuram was held on 08.03.2024 at Tamil Nadu Open University Villupuram. Ms. Kavitha Koliyanur Block Child Development Officer, Ms. Chandra Sub-Inspector of All Women Police Station Villupuram, Ms. Pushpa, executive officer and Ms. Kalaiyarasi, Team Leader of Vazhndhu Kattuvom scheme presided over the program and gave awareness about violence against women and girl children.

Ms. Kavitha Child Development Program Officer gave awareness about the activities and programs of her department, especially women and children health.

Following her, Mr. Chandra Villupuram All  Women’s Police Station Sub-Inspector gave awareness about violence against women and children and social media , also she conveyed women’s day greetings to the women group members who were present to participate in the program.

After that she initiated Rangoli competition on the topics of girl child protection, violence against women, gender equality and women empowerment. The first prize was awarded for the topic on Gender Equality, the second prize for the category of protection of girls and the third prize for the category of women and girl child development. Prizes were awarded to the winning team.

A total of 42 people participated in this program along with 34 women group members, special guests and ADECOM Network WRC office staffs. At the end of the program, ADECOM Network WRC  field coordinator Mr. Murugan gave a vote of thanks. Mr. Ettiyappan coordinated the program.
