Title: Training for school children to promote gender equality

The School Awareness program held on 22.04.2024 at omandhur Aided middle School Kothamabakkam. All the students were invited and seated together and WDC Field Coordinator Ms. Jayaprabha sang a song as a welcome gesture. The students were encouraged and then the students were asked about their well-being and how they had written the school examination and all the students said that they had written well. Everyone was very interested as it was the final exam. Then we made them understand about the effects of sun and how to be in sun. We were also told to wear cotton clothes in the sun and eat cool food as the sun is hot and stay indoors. Then we asked them to drink a lot of water and then we encouraged everyone to make use of the whole year vacation and make them aware of many good things in which many students are interested in painting, writing poetry, singing, going to dance school, etc. to show their talents. The students were also happy to hear that and then we told the students to stay at home and not to go here and there and to be very careful and careful. They all said yes and happy and then we told them all to be very careful and safe. Later, when we asked them what gender equality is, they said that men and women are equal. It was very happy. If we could understand many things about it, Mr. Ezhumalai told a story from it. We heard the opinion of the student and we heard the opinion of the female students and compared both the opinions and made it clear that both are the same. Then we told everyone to use the summer vacation effectively. From there we thanked him and at the end he thanked all the students. In this program 31 Male & 29 Female Students totally  are participated
