  1. Welcome and Introductions:
    • Kavitha, the meeting in-charge, welcomed all members.
    • Review of four objectives introduced last month:
      1. Quality Education
      2. Gender Equality
      3. Clean Drinking Water and Sanitary Toilets
      4. Environment
  2. Group Division and Topics:
    • Members were divided into four groups, each focusing on one of the objectives.
    • In-charges for each group were decided.
  3. Discussion Points:
    • Quality Education:
      • Emphasis on regular school attendance.
      • Encouragement to attend evening educational classes.
      • Discussion on ensuring children not attending school are enrolled.
    • Gender Equality:
      • Encouragement for equality at home and in the field.
      • Anan was tasked with focusing on this objective.
    • Clean Drinking Water and Sanitation:
      • Importance of drinking clean water, especially in the summer heat to prevent diseases like measles.
      • Decision to petition the panchayat council president to clean the water tank with bleaching powder twice a month.
      • Responsibility for this task assigned to specific members.
    • Environment:
      • Decision to plant saplings at Kollar Government High School.
      • Emphasis on environmental conservation through practical activities.
  4. Child Protection:
    • Information provided on filing petitions for destitute children at the Villupuram District Child Protection Office.
  5. Children’s Safety and Memory Development:
    • Highlighted through group sports and games.

Actions Decided:

  • Ensure all children attend school daily and evening classes regularly.
  • Look after and enroll children not currently attending school.
  • Promote gender equality within homes and fields.
  • Petition for regular cleaning of the village water tank.
  • Plant saplings at Kollar Government High School.
  • File petitions for destitute children in need of support.
