In our latest Balika Panchayat session on Women’s Rights in Development, we had a wonderful gathering of 14 enthusiastic students. Led by Mr. Yehumalai and Mrs. Jayaprabha, the session began with a heartwarming check-in where each student shared their well-being and academic progress.

The session focused on reinforcing previous learnings and engaging in interactive activities. Mr. Yehumalai introduced a memory-boosting game, emphasizing its benefits for cognitive development.

An important part of the discussion was understanding various types of violence, followed by enlightening the students about their fundamental rights. From the right to education and speech to property ownership and participation in assemblies, each girl was encouraged to recognize and exercise her rights confidently.

In a touching moment, one of our new members, Shivshree, proudly shared how she influenced positive change by persuading her father to stop drinking.

At the heart of our mission is to empower young girls with knowledge and confidence, ensuring they grow into informed and empowered leaders of tomorrow.
