our Balika Panchayat meeting was held in Arasamangalam village, where 12 dedicated members gathered to discuss crucial issues. Among the attendees, 8 were members of the Balika Panchayat, and 4 were non-members who actively participated.
The meeting was organized by our committed volunteer, Mr. Arulmati, and was attended by Mr. Se. Murugan, the field coordinator of the Women’s Resource Center. Last month, we focused on environmental protection and sapling plantation. This month, the discussion centered around Adolescent Women’s Rights.
Key points discussed:
- Human Rights: Personal security, liberty, freedom of speech, right to property, freedom of religion, health, and fair trial.
- Women’s Rights:
- Education: Equal access to basic and higher education for all women and girls.
