“Three-Day ECF Training to Promote Gender Equality Among Adolescent Boys”

On 30th June 2025, ADECOM Network commenced a transformative three-day training program at the ICSA Parimurugan Training Centre, Chennai, scheduled from 30th June to 2nd July 2025. The training focused on the Adolescent boys Training Manual, aimed at empowering staff members to effectively engage adolescent boys in community-level initiatives that promote gender equality and respect.

This initiative is designed to equip facilitators with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to challenge harmful gender norms and encourage positive masculinity among young boys. Through this training, participants will be better prepared to run community sessions that foster respectful attitudes and support gender justice.

Ms. Asumma and Ms. Komal, expert trainers from Jan Sahas Foundation from New Delhi, are leading the sessions with rich insights, participatory methods, and interactive discussions. Their expertise plays a crucial role in helping participants internalize and implement the training content. The event is being smoothly coordinated by Ms. Aarthi and Mr. John Bosco, Coordinators from ADECOM Network, who are ensuring active engagement and seamless execution over the three days.

Additionally, Mr. Sinou. Perumal, Legal Consultant of ADECOM Network, contributed valuable input on the legal and social justice framework of gender equality, shedding light on laws and policies that uphold inclusive development and social change.

This training marks a significant step in strengthening the capacity of grassroots facilitators to guide adolescent boys towards becoming champions of gender equality in their communities.
