🌸 Creating Safe Spaces for Every Girl – Balika Panchayat, Perappanthangal 🌸

On 7th October 2025, a Balika Panchayat meeting was held at Perappanthangal Village, Tindivanam Taluk, centered on the theme “Safe and Unsafe Spaces for Girls.”

The session was facilitated by PLV Mrs. Chithra and Illam Thedi Kalvi volunteer Mrs. Ranjani, with 14 active Balika members participating. Girls identified unsafe areas in their village and pledged to raise these concerns at the upcoming Gram Sabha on 11th October.

Through interactive group games, participants also learned about awareness, unity, discipline, and the importance of attending Illam Thedi Kalvi classes. They were reminded that mental health and legal counseling support is always available through ADECOM Network.

💪 The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all members to attend monthly Balika Panchayat meetings — empowering young girls to make their village safer, stronger, and more inclusive.
