ADECOM Women’s Dignity Centre – Tindivanam
As part of our ongoing community engagement, ADECOM Network, in collaboration with seven students from Azim Premji University, organized an interactive session with six teachers at the Government Higher Secondary School, Porulatharam.
👩🏫 The meeting provided an important platform to discuss the challenges faced by children in the school. Teachers highlighted urgent issues such as the absence of a compound wall and damaged classroom floors, emphasizing the need for immediate action to ensure a safe learning environment.
A collective decision was made to bring these concerns to the Headmaster’s attention and work together toward practical solutions.
🍱 The discussion also delved into students’ daily realities — their long travel distances, access to mid-day meals, and the implementation of English education from Classes 6 to 10. Teachers shared that Parent-Teacher Meetings and School Management Committee (SMC) sessions are held every three months, with active parent participation and leadership.
🙏 The session concluded with heartfelt thanks to the teachers and Azim Premji University students for their valuable insights and collaboration.
