

On 19 November 2025, an inspiring and highly engaging Balika Panchayat meeting was held at Singanoor village with 18 active young members, led by the ADECOM Women Dignity Centre.
The session focused on the urgent theme:

π‘ The discussion emphasized:
π« Child marriage is illegal β Girls below 18 / Boys below 21
π It causes serious physical & emotional harm
βοΈ Those involved face legal punishment

π 1098 β Child Helpline (to stop child marriage)
π 181 β Women Helpline (for forced marriage of girls above 18)
The facilitators reinforced that every girl has the right to education, safety, freedom & choiceβand no one can force her into marriage without consent. ππ
