A powerful Balika Panchayat meeting was held in Jambodhi village, Gingee block, where 10 young leaders actively came together to raise their voices for child rights and gender equality. ๐โจ
Led by Volunteer Mrs. Uma, the session addressed:
๐ซ The dangers of child marriage
โ๏ธ Legal age: Girls 18 | Boys 21 โ marrying below this is a punishable offence
๐ Reporting channels: 1098 โ Child Helpline | 181 โ Womenโs Helpline
๐ก Participants learned how early marriage causes long-term physical & emotional harm and how every young person can be a changemaker by reporting unsafe practices.
The session also reinforced:

๐ค Equal opportunities
๐ Respecting personal choice in marriage
