On Monday, 08 December 2025, Ms. Arokiya Mary conducted an awareness programme at Sozhatharam focusing on sexual violence against women and children, organized on behalf of ADECOM as part of the 16 Days Campaign.
The session highlighted the various forms of sexual abuse, its impact on families, and the importance of early prevention. Mothers were guided on protecting children, safe parenting practices, and educating children to reduce vulnerability. Special emphasis was given to safeguarding children from both online and offline abuse.
The programme reinforced the need for a safe environment and strengthened community awareness to prevent sexual violence.
