🤝 Survivor Forum Meeting | Gingee 🤝

On 31 December 2025, a powerful Survivor Forum Meeting was successfully conducted at the Gingee Panchayat Union Office, Villupuram District, bringing together 96 survivors of violence and their family members in a strong display of solidarity, resilience, and hope.

The meeting was chaired by ADECOM Legal Consultant Mr. Seenu Perumal, with Mr. Vijayakumar, President of Gingee Union, presiding over the session. The programme was enriched by the presence of distinguished guests including Ms. Kejalakshmi, District Coordinator, Women Empowerment Centre (Social Welfare Department); BDOs Mr. Natarajan and Mr. Ramadas; Special Revenue Inspector & Social Worker Mr. Kannan; Mr. John Williams, President, DON NGO; Mr. Sundara Pandian, Manager, Gingee Block Development Office; and the Social Welfare Extension Officer.

During the forum, Mr. Seenu Perumal provided clear guidance on government compensation, explained the status of legal cases, listened to survivors’ concerns, and extended New Year wishes. Mr. Vijayakumar emphasized the importance of girl child education, while Ms. Kejalakshmi highlighted the harmful impacts of child marriage, girls’ personal safety, and shared information on government schemes and women’s safety helpline numbers.

As a meaningful act of support, immediate relief materials were distributed to 50 survivor families on behalf of ADECOM, reinforcing collective care and empowerment. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sandhiya and Ms. Vijayasanthi, and all arrangements were effectively coordinated by Mr. John Bosco, Coordinator, ADECOM Women’s Dignity Centre, Gingee.
