🌸 Monthly Balika Panchayat Members Meeting | Singanur Pudhu Colony 🌸

The Monthly Balika Panchayat Members Meeting was successfully conducted on 07 January 2026 at Singanur Pudhu Colony Village, Tindivanam Taluk, with the participation of 17 members.

The meeting focused on the theme “Addressing Domestic Violence in the Context of Child Marriage.” Representatives from ADECOM Women’s Dignity Centre, PLV Mrs. Chithra, and Illam Thedi Kalvi Volunteer Mrs. Abirami actively participated in the session.

The discussion began with a recap of the harmful impacts of child marriage, followed by interactive learning using case studies from the training manual. Participants gained clarity on various forms of domestic violence, including physical abuse, sexual misconduct, economic deprivation, dowry harassment, and sexual violence.

The session emphasized the importance of involving men and boys as key change agents, promoting dignity and respect for women, advancing gender equality, and encouraging open conversations with children to prevent gender discrimination.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Balika Panchayat In-charge Ms. Durga Devi.
