On 06 January 2026, ADECOM Womenβs Dignity Centre conducted a School Awareness Programme at the Panchayat Union Middle School, Peramandur Village, Tindivanam Taluk, reaching 90 children along with 18 teachers and special invitees.
The programme focused on the safety and protection of girls and women and was inaugurated by Mrs. Krupa Lakshmi, Inspector, Tindivanam All Women Police Station, who sensitized students using real-life examples and emphasized the importance of reporting unsafe situations through the Child Helpline 1098.
Legal Trustee & Advisor Mr. Seenu Perumal, along with resource persons Mrs. Santhi and Mrs. Nandhini, engaged children through songs, stories, games, and interactive discussions, helping them understand personal safety, emotional well-being, and the harmful effects of jealousy and abuse. The session encouraged children to feel safe at home and in school and to speak up without fear.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, police officials, and volunteers, and concluded with the distribution of biscuits to children and a vote of thanks by PLV Mrs. Chithra.
