A Training Programme on Parental Care was successfully conducted on 06 January 2026 at the BDO Office, Thiyagathurugam Block, with the participation of 100 ICDS Anganwadi Workers (AWWs).
The programme aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of AWWs in parental care, enabling them to better support families, communities, and child development.
The session included interactive discussions on the importance of parental care, parenting styles and child development, and ways to address common challenges faced by parents. Group discussions, case studies, and a question-and-answer session helped participants actively engage and reflect on real-life situations.
As an outcome, AWWs gained valuable insights into effective parental care strategies, enhancing their capacity to guide parents and promote healthy child development within their communities.
