🟠 16 Days Awareness Programme & Signature Campaign | Cyber Crime ðŸŸ 

On 23 January 2024, ADECOM Network – Women Resource Centre, Thiruvannamalai, in collaboration with Government Arts and Science College, Thiruvannamalai, organized a 16 Days awareness programme and signature campaign on Cyber Crime for college students.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Aarthi Epciba, Project Coordinator (Maitri), and Ms. Badhma, Field Coordinator (Maitri Project). A total of 190 students—150 female and 40 male students—actively participated in the event.

The programme was enriched by the presence of College Principal Ms. Revathy, Cyber Crime Inspector Ms. Kavitha, DCPO Ms. Selvi, CWC Chairperson Mr. Murugan, and the HODs of Zoology, Physics, and Chemistry Departments. Sessions focused on cyber crime awareness, its consequences, and preventive measures, encouraging students to take responsible action against cyber violence.

As part of the programme, students took a pledge against child marriage, committing to:
• Not engage in child marriage
• Support girls’ education
• Report early marriages
• Spread awareness on the harmful impacts of child marriage

The signature campaign stood out as a powerful expression of solidarity, with students pledging to raise awareness on cyber violence and child marriage.
