A Youth Nomination Meeting under the Tribal Project was successfully conducted at J.J. Nagar Village with the objective of empowering tribal youth to actively participate in village development and community welfare initiatives.
The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Dhivya (ADECOM), who introduced the organization and shared insights on its ongoing and future interventions. This was followed by a briefing on the Tribal Development Project by Mr. John Bosco, highlighting its focus on youth development, legal support, and access to government welfare schemes.
Through participatory discussion, three youth leaders—Mr. Vadivelu (27), Mr. Anbu (26), and Ms. Devi (24)—were unanimously nominated to represent and lead community initiatives. Their roles and responsibilities were clearly explained, emphasizing problem identification, community representation, petition filing, and active involvement in village development activities.
Key village issues such as lack of streetlights and school facilities were raised and discussed, with assurance of continuous support and collective action. The nominated youth expressed their commitment and gratitude to serve their community. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sandhiya, marking a strong step toward inclusive, youth-led tribal development.
