    About Us

    ADECOM Network is a pioneering voluntary organization based in Puducherry, India, committed to empowering marginalized communities since 1992. With a strong focus on social justice, ADECOM works to uplift women, children, and underprivileged groups by promoting equality, education, and sustainable development. Their mission is to create an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of gender or socio-economic background, has access to opportunities, rights, and self-determination. The organization actively engages in women’s empowerment by breaking barriers and fostering leadership, advocates for child rights and education to secure a brighter future for young generations, strengthens local governance and livelihood programs to support community development, and promotes environmental sustainability through eco-friendly initiatives. Through strategic interventions, grassroots initiatives, and capacity-building programs, ADECOM Network continues to drive meaningful and lasting social change.”

    OUR OBJECTIVE

    • Animate: Create self-awareness and self-confidence among Disadvantaged women and girls
    • Develop: Improve social, environmental and economic conditions for women and Girls
    • Economy: By empowering women and girls economically, we can break cycles of poverty, foster sustainable growth, and build a more equitable society for all
    • Communication: Building bridges between communities, organizations, and stakeholders.

    We provide free training programs in Puducherry for those coming from local slum areas.

    Our Village Training Centre is located in Saraswathy Nagar, Periyanganakuppam, Cuddalore. Here we provide tailoring and IT training right in the heart of rural Tamil Nadu.

    In Villianur, Puducherry, a full-time team of activist’s support women and young people from the surrounding rural area. We also provide vocational training programs at this location.

    ACCESS TO SUPPORT

    We aim to have a physical presence in communities that need support. Our team members meet women’s groups and leaders inside and outside of their villages on a weekly basis. They help them to stay on-track, bringing in additional support when required.

    FOCUS ON EMPOWERMENT

    Women need the confidence and skills to tackle discrimination and fight for their rights. We train women to become strong leaders with the ability to drive positive change at the local Governance (Panchayat Raj).

    Through our capacity development and training programs, we focus on enabling women to set the agendas for progress in their areas. We encourage them to work together to improve their communities for securing better land, access to education, higher incomes and more.

    WORKING WITH CHILDREN

    “The ADECOM Network is committed to safeguarding the well-being and rights of children in southern India. Through initiatives like masculinity training for boys, gender equality programs for all, and measures to prevent abuse and manipulation, we foster a culture of respect and empowerment. By engaging with young people, we aim to educate and inspire a new generation of change-makers and advocates, equipped to champion gender equality and children’s rights, and build a more just and equitable society.

    WORK WTH LOCAL GOVERNANCE

    With the use of capacity training, the ADECOM Network supports women’s activism within local governance. By doing so there has been an increase in PRI (Panchayati Raj Institution) participation for women. ADECOM believes that in order for change to take place within government, women must be in government, emphasizing the skills to do so within different programs. Along with this, ADECOM teaches women about their local laws and regulations, giving them better knowledge of their own rights.
