On 16th May 2026, ADECOM Network successfully conducted an Adolescent Girls Awareness Program at Dasarpuram Village, Thirukovilur, Kallakurichi District, with the active participation of 16 adolescent girls.
The program focused on important topics including mental health awareness, legal awareness, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, and personal hygiene. During the session, ADECOM Network Project Coordinator Ms. Aarthi Epciba explained the significance of emotional wellbeing, legal rights, gender sensitivity, and healthy hygiene practices among adolescent girls.
The session also included an orientation on the consent form process to obtain parental permission for joining the ADECOM Network Adolescent Girls Group. This initiative aims to strengthen leadership skills among adolescent girls and encourage their active participation in future awareness and community development programs.
The participants enthusiastically engaged in the discussions and expressed keen interest in joining upcoming activities and initiatives organized by ADECOM Network.
